Research Assistantships available in the Holmes lab

It is anticipated that funding will be available in the Holmes lab to support at least one new graduate student as a Research Assistant in Computational Neuroscience starting in the coming year. The assistantship will include a stipend and a tuition scholarship.

To be considered, a potential student must first of all have a strong interest in Computational Neuroscience. The student must have a background in biological sciences sufficient to be able to apply and be accepted into the Graduate Program in the Department of Biological Sciences as a Ph.D. student. See our Graduate Program home page for further information.

In addition, the student must have a strong background in mathematics (at least a year of math beyond calculus, including differential equations), and computer programming experience in either Fortran, C, or C++. Ideally the student should have some experience with the Unix operating system.

If you have questions about this particular Research Assistantship, please e-mail Dr. Holmes at holmes@ohio.edu
